In the Bible, we occasionally find individuals who serve as character witnesses/references. They verify/confirm the claims made about Jesus. In our passage today, Luke mentions two remarkable people who support the claim that the new-born baby Jesus is indeed the Messiah, the Lord’s Christ.

Today we’ll look at several events that happened during the first 40 days or so of Jesus’ life, including his presentation at the temple and his meeting of two interesting characters who verified his identity.
